TakingITGlobal is one of the world's leading networks of young people learning about, engaging with, and working towards tackling global challenges. By bringing together Digital Youth Engagement, Global Education and Social Innovation programming, TakingITGlobal seeks to empower youth and their allies to ensure every young person and their interest has a place to learn, grow and flourish.
Global Encounters
Global Encounters is an international student video conference program, offered through a partnership between the Centre for Global Education (CGE) and TakingITGlobal (TIG). We've hosted dozens of events on critical global issues such as child soldiers and armed conflict, women's rights, mental health, climate change and many more.
Each conference includes a live event, preceded by a week-long online program of activities through which students learn about the topics at hand, collaborate with one another and receive mentorship from experts.
